I sometimes think that life is a miserable experience with a little happiness thrown it and at other times I think life is a great experience with a little misery thrown it. I have concluded that for some folks life is a great experience with very little miserableness and for others it is almost all misery with very little happiness. But for most of us it is a mix of both. Some days this and some days that. My moods seem to change with the winds of the moment. Reading the news gives me a very jaded view of life. The suffering of lots of folks everywhere gets more coverage than the great acts of kindness and mercy that are all about us. I have days of misery (less and less as time goes on) and other days of inexpressible happiness. I had a day in the hospital where I was flooded with a kind of happiness that lasted for about five minutes that was like nothing I had experiences before or have experienced since. I could give no reason for it except it was a gift of God.
"I am convinced that the sufferings of this present world are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will someday be revealed in us" - Paul
I am counting on it.

Went to the "voyage of the Dawn Treader" last week and did not like it. They way overdid the actions scenes. Reepicheep and Eustace were great. The words of the Lion at the end were marvelous.

All of our three kids and five grand kids will be here for Christmas dinner
Best wishes on this Christmas season.
